At the second round of the World Supersport Championship Covena finished his race in 17th place.
Throughout the practice and qualifying the young Dutchmen worked hard on improving his feeling on the bike. Together with his crew Covena worked hard and tried many different settings on the bike. Resulting in a 22th starting position for Sunday's race.
With a good start Covena fought his way up the field hoping to catch the group that was fighting for the top15 in front of him. The Kawasaki rider opened with a strong couple of opening laps but without the advantage of a slipstream the gap seemed to big to close. Keeping focused and maintaining his 17th spot was the maximum he could do.

"I was really looking forward to this race as the year before I managed to get on the podium and set the laprecord. For this weekend we tried a lot of different settings on the bike to help me get a better feeling on track but unfortunately this didn't result in faster laptimes.
In the end I finished the race and learned a lot from the different settings which can help us for the next race!"
The next race wil take place at Assen on the 27th of April. A race that the Intermoto-Ponyexpres rider is really looking forward as this is his homerace.
